I’m fascinated by people, but it’s best not to get too close to one’s subjects. Ideologically erratic. Emphatically empirical. As long as someone else does the work.
In my day job, I’m a Lecturer in Economics & Policy in Bangor University‘s School of Environment, Natural Resources and Geography. Here’s my current research projects, academic publications etc and my Google Scholar author profile. Prior to academia, I spent five years working on natural resource and development issues in Madagascar, studying Malagasy grammar, and picking fleas out of my feet.
